Editing Shape? PCB Editor

Squintz

I'm teaching myself to use Orcad and currently I'm going through the steps in a book for using the wizard to make a part footprint. I am editing the Package Geometry -> Silkscreen-top for a QFN and simply adding a 45 degree angle at PIN 1. However, it appears that the  shape I edited is no longer a shape but now just a series of lines which look like a shape. I know this is probably not a big deal for the Silkscreen-top but I also made the same changes for Assembly-top.

How do I group these lines back into a shape and is it important that I do this?

Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to increase the line width (thickness) for my silkscreen-top. Is this because it's not a shape? What are the steps in PCB Editor for increasing this after I have modified a shape, which is no longer a shape but just a bunch of lines.
