If statements in env file?

dgstan

Can I have an "if" statement inside my local env file? What is the syntax? I looked around and found the "ifnvar" statement referenced somewhere, but I cannot get it to work.

I'd like to switch on the "cdsversion" variable (i.e. load a different menu depending on the release).

Thanks,

Doug

Check the documentation for the IFVAR and IFNVAR syntax, it looks to me like you can only check for the presence, or not, of the variable, rather than test the value of it. Also see the env file in share\pcb\text for an example.

Thanks. I was able to get 'ifnvar' to work ('ifvar' didn't for some reason). Not the most elegant solution, but it works.

On a related note: Does anyone know where the "menuload" variable gets set? I tried to overwrite that to no avail.

The menuload variable is dynamic its value is the name of the currently loaded menu file. You should not attempt to change it.
