How to get a pour to update the connections?

Some of my pours are automatically connecting themselves to the surfacemount pads.  However my ground and power planes are not connecting to the thru hole pins, and I did a pour for power on coupling caps, and then put in vias to connect the pour to the power plane, but it isn't updating.

 Thanks.

    Hi

Are you using OrCAD/Allegro PCB Editor or OrCAD Layout?

If you're using PCB Editor I would recommend that you check that the planes are set to positive under Setup->Cross-section?

Also check under Shape->Global Dynamic Parameters that you've selected the correct Artwork format inside the "Void controls" tab and set Dynamic fill to smooth inside the Shape Fill tab.

    Best regards

    Ole
