Better way of turning off all classes and subclasses from view?

kanonfodder

I have PCB Editor 16.2, and there has got to be a quicker way of turning off all the classes and subclasses so I can then turn on only the ones I want for when I'm making the artwork classes.  Only way I've seen is to manually go through every class and turning them off one by one.

 Thanks,

Mike

You can turn everything invisible quickly by typing the following on the Allegro command line:

    skill axlVisibleDesign(nil)

If you have access to SKILL this command should work.

    Hope this helps,

For your artworks you could use a parameters file which will set these up for you automatically. Go to an existing board that has the artworks already defined and use File - Export - Parameters, check the boxes and export. On your new design use File - import and they should be there.

An alternative is to use color view files. Set the colors as you want then use View - Color View save and store the color file. This name will now appear under the visibility tab views drop down box. A quick way to change the display to what you want. There is also a user preference (viewpath) so you can store all view files in one location and use them on all designs.

Alternatively to quickly turn off all layers if you product doesn't have Skill you can type:

         color -globvis off

Do a "color -help" for more options.

I have a hotkey alias (built from a script) that turns everything off.

I place the alias in my env file.

    Good to go...
