Help with "FIXED" property

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with some symbols that are "fixed" when I select them and choose "unfix" from the drop down menu, I see a message in the command window that  the fixed property has been removed, but when I then try to move it, it claims the symbol is "fixed" ;-/. So I'm at a loss to correct this puzzle. I'm using Allegro 16.2.

 output from command window

(selecting unfix from the drop down menu of the symbol)

Property FIXED removed from element Symbol: AMP_747250-X at 1358.80, 161.42.
Command >

(Now trying to move that same symbol)

Cannot edit Symbol "J23". Component Instance "J23" has the FIXED property.
No valid items selected for the current operation, exiting.

You can try using the Unfix toolbar item (or type "Unfix" on the command line), select Comps in the Find Filter and then select the symbol that you want to unfix.

I have tried that and I still get the same result, it will not allow me to move it, Here is the output from the command window

    Command > unfix J23
Property FIXED removed from element Symbol: AMP_747250-X at 1358.80, 161.42.
    Command > move J23
Cannot edit Symbol "J23". Component Instance "J23" has the FIXED property.
No valid items selected for the current operation, exiting.

Make sure your Find filter is correct. Trying selecting Component instead Symbol in the Find Filter or vice versa.

The FIXED property might be attached not only for the symbol(AMP_747250-X) but also for the component(J23). The opposite is true.
Please check the component property, and if it has FIXED property then you should also unfix the component element. (Or symbol property, or etc)

    FYI.
A quick other method to solve the problem:
Unfix command > RMB > Unfix All

    Hope this helps.
