Hi All,

Can anyone advise me for naming conventions of symbols? Do we have any standard for this one?

Thanks,

Cnoy

    Hi,

I would recommend PCB Matrix, AKA PCB Libraries, as a source for standard naming conventions.

They work with IPC to establish standards. Their free viewer will help with establishing and understanding the naming.

The goal is to have a universal naming system independant of the CAD system. All footprint names are in metric.

We use it extensively and cannot live without it.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

    Alan
