If you are getting "unable to read part information" when placing database parts, the schematic libraries need to be configured, compare the Capture.ini file for this version with the Capture.ini for previous installations, [Part Selector Configured Libraries] or [Part Library Directories] are the section in the ini file that control searched libraries.

    Hi

Are you running 32 or 64 bit Windows 7? If 64 bit - you'll have to find the 32-bit ODBC configuration panel to setup your ODBC datasource.

Another issue could be that you're not running the tool with administrative privileges.

Notice that 16.3 only supports Windows 7 if you run with Hotfix 005 which was released on March 26th

    Best regards

    Ole

Thanks for all responses. I think we may have jumped a step while configuring odbc.
The UAC needs to be turned off while configuring ODBC.

     Hi,

I want to bump this post as I am also having issues. I have a new PC running 64 bit Win 7. I can get the ODBC config screen up and chose the correct database type, but get this error

"The setup routines for the Drivers do Microsoft access (*.mdb) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to the system error code 126: The specified module could not be found. (C:\WINDOWS\system32\odbcjt32.dll)"

My interpretation of this error message is that the ODBC driver is loking for a 32 driver that doesn't exist in this operating system,

However, I also had an identical earlier error that pointed to an OFFICE12 install directory (where presumably it was hoping to find 64 bit drivers?).

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

     Thanks

    -Colin

    Hi

I don't know if your problem is that you're trying to access the 64bit odbc drivers, but thats what is happening if you use control panel-> administration->odbc data sources to setup the odbc driver

However on 64-bit win-7 you need to go to c:\windows and find odbcad32.exe inside a directory named sysWOW or something similar.

    Best regards

    Ole
