Error: Netlister failed in OrCAD PCB designer Basics

FormerMember

Hello to everyone,

I draw a schematic in OrCAD Capture and I also created *.dra footprints. But, when I want to create a netlist and start working in OrCAD PCB Editor I get a strange error. Below is attached Session log. Do anyone have ever similar problem? Do anyone know how to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Regards,
Marko

IMHO, this is properly broken. You need to contact your CCP / Cadence to get this fixed ASAP.

    Hi,

Please try to do the folowing:

    1. Try to install hotfix7, it seems to be fixed there.

    2. If You cannot use hotfix7 try to generate netlist by command line by running:

    "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.3\tools\capture\pstswp.exe" -pst -d "e:\projekti\projects\ma_fiberif\lego_if\sch\hfbr_fiber_if.dsn" -n "E:\PROJEKTI\PROJECTS\MA_FIBERIF\LEGO_IF\SCH\ALLEGRO" -c "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.3\tools\capture\allegro.cfg" -v 3 -j "PCB Footprint" -lite -hpath

The key is to remove  "HPathForCollision".

    3. Try same command line but different order of parameters:

    "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.3\tools\capture\pstswp.exe" -pst -d "e:\projekti\projects\ma_fiberif\lego_if\sch\hfbr_fiber_if.dsn" -n "E:\PROJEKTI\PROJECTS\MA_FIBERIF\LEGO_IF\SCH\ALLEGRO" -c "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.3\tools\capture\allegro.cfg" -v 3 -j "PCB Footprint" -hpath "HPathForCollision" -lite

    Best Regards,

    Azef.
