Customize the keyboard funckeys easily

It's a very useful trick to configure the keyboard shortcuts as you wish!

Just edit the file named "env" localized in the path ".\share\pcb\text" wherever you have installed the suite, in my case the version 16.3 of Cadence Orcad and PCB editor.

Please do not modify the env file found in /share/pcb/text. This file may be replaced when a hotfix is installed or, if you are executing multiple releases, you would need to keep a copy of your modifications in each release structure.

You should always copy the file /share/pcb/text/env_local.txt and place it in your local envpath as "env" with no extension. For windows this is typically C:\PCBENV and for *nix machines it's /home/user_login/pcbenv.

    e.g. C:\pcbenv\env

To detemine your local env you can type set <return> at the Allegro command line and look for your envpath statement.

Make any modifications to your environment in the local env file. These modifications would include paths and any alias or function key assignments. When you use the preference editor all changes will also be written to your local env file and not the global (/share/pcb/text) env file.
