Orcad 16.3 Demo problem

Hi,

I have recently been sucessfully using Orcad CIS 16.2 on a schematic, but this morning I downloaded & installed the Orcad 16.3 Demo Capture & PSpice.

16.3 appears to have converted the schematic to a new standard, and I can no longer open it with my real 16.2 !!!

ERROR [DSM0008]   Unable to load file 's:\engineering\eb build standard 3 - 100814-819\engineering\hw design\bobs-work\to28-0198 lcu if vers b test box\to28-lcu if test box.dsn'.ERROR [DBO3959]   Attempt to read a design file which is not supported by this version of database

How to I roll back the database to the original ( ie working with 16.2 ) ?

Please help, I cant do any work !

Bob Harris

In 16.3, File>Save As, change the "Save as Type" to Capture 16.2 Design (*.DSN)

    Hi Oldmouldy,

    Thanks for your response.

Turns out my schematic is bigger than the allowed max for the demo, so it wont let me save it at all ! There is also no "Save as" on the File menu, so I never get to change the type ...

I've pulled my old data off the overnite backups, so at least I can continue ...

    Thanks again,

    BH
