Drill legend

 All,

I have custom drill legends that I have been using for quite a while. They are compact as well as legible. I have run into a problem. I have on my design a mechanical feature that did not allow me to assign a figure, character, width or height. Slot is 190x680 mils. Consequently, when I generate my drill legend, the table is quite elongated and barely fits in the extents. I'm sure the problem is in the oval slot I've created but don't know how to get around this problem. I have done several edits to try to alleviate this behavior. Any help would be great

Cheers,

One method is to modify your drill chart template; default-mil.dlt (for a design in mils).

Add the line (where XX is the height you want all figures to be):
    ?FixedFigureHeight     XX

Note:  This can cause an issue if you're using figure size to differentiate drills.

I've had time to go back and look at this but have still been unsuccessful. I eliminated the slot just to make sure my .dlt was working correctly and it certainly is. The problem is centered around the fact that I can't choose a figure size when creating the slot so in the drill legend the slot is full size and the rest of the legend is spaced as the slot. A most curious problem.

    Thanks,

Have resolved the problem by following advice on this forum. Adjusted the ?FixedFigureHeight  in the .dlt file and that did the trick. Thanks a bunch!
