Error creating netlist files

 Hi,

1) I am trying to create netlist files in orcad (pstchip.dat, pstxprt.dat, pstxnet.dat files) and I am getting this error.

Error at line 253 in file .....\...\pstxnet.dat. Reference designators inconsistent in xprt and xnet files. Reference Designator in xprt file: C14. Reference Designator in xnet file: C84. Schematic Instance :@est400.schematic1(sch_1):ins171088430@discrete.\capacitor non-pol.normal\(chips) (MODULE: EST400; PART: CAPACITOR NON-POL).

Could it be because when doing the design, I did copy paste for all the Rs and Cs instead of adding them from the library each time?

Does this cause any problem in creating the netlist files? Also, when I copy, paste the Rs and Cs, do each of them not get a unique instance number?

Will it be any different if I use the netlist created using telesis.dll in Allegro instead of using these pst*.dat files for layout.

2) Also, I am using Orcad 9.2 version and do not have the PackagerXL or PXLLite utilities.

Is the PackagerXL or PXLlite utility available separately so that we could purchase it use

with our version of orcad?

Could some one please answer these questions?

Thank you,

Regards,

Aditi.

We did it by copy paste and didn't get any problem.

When you pasting each time, the part will take next refdes number automatically.

Regarding PackagerXL or PXLLite utilitie, contact your customer support.

     Regards,

     Shiva.
