Moving elements while building symbols

Greetings,

In CIS I'm building a bunch of symbols and all have this same problem. I can not move the pin numbers or names in the primitive symbol. I set the User properties to allow movement but I'm missing something. Also, when I edit a part and bring it back into the schematic; I'll get a warning  that tells me to "update cache" to sync up the symbol to the current schematic. I can find a "cleanup cache" but no "update cache". Last but not least, is the inability to maintain a font size when placing the symbol in the schematic. In the symbol, I'll use a Arial 3 to unclutter the text and minimize the symbol. I'll save and then place; the text that I set to 3 in the symbol has changed to the schematic default of 7.   Help on these issues would be great.

Cheers,

     Greetings,

I spoke to the Cadence rep and he told me that unfortunately, this is the way the tool works. I come from a long background of using Mentor Graphics DX Designer for my schematic capture tool and I was able to build a primitive and do anything I need to do. I'm disappointed that CIS does not have that capability. I think if Cadence is really serious about this tool they should take a survey among designers and ask what features we would like to see. Mentor Graphics did that a few years ago with some measure of success. I've used Allegro forever but CIS needs tweaking.

    Cheers,
