Problems with generating netlist in Oracd 16.3 Demo version

 Hi
I am using the orcad demo 16.3 version and tried to implement the demo tutorial which comes with the documentation. It was related to designing of an Adder crcuit through 2 half adders. When I tried to generate the net list for the project it showed a number of errors related to the PCB fotprints of the various components.Some of the errors were:

{ Using PSTWRITER 16.3.0 p002May-28-2010 at 16:16:49 }

#1 Error   [ALG0081] Illegal character "Dot(.)" found in "PCB Footprint" property for component instance U3B: HALFADD, HALFADD (2.20, 2.20) .

#2 Error   [ALG0081] Illegal character "Dot(.)" found in "PCB Footprint" property for component instance U3A: HALFADD, HALFADD (1.40, 2.20) .

#3 Error   [ALG0081] Illegal character "Dot(.)" found in "PCB Footprint" property for component instance U3D: HALFADD, HALFADD (2.20, 2.20) .

#8 Error   [ALG0081] Illegal character "Forward Slash(/)" found in "PCB Footprint" property for component instance R2: FULLADD, FULLADD (7.40, 1.90) .

#9 Error   [ALG0012] Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance J1: FULLADD, FULLADD (8.80, 0.50)

I dont know how to get the correct PCB footprints ....Can anyone help me on this??

    Hi

    Your problem is that the current pcb footprint property names contains dots (.) and forward slash (/) so you need to remove these from the footprint property inside Capture. Make sure that your PCB Footprint names for PCB Editor match the names you put on parts inside Capture.

    Best regards

    Ole

    Thanx Ole for your reply... But the problem is I do not know how to find the correct footprints for the components I have used.I am not being able to open the footprint library through the demo version of capture. Please if you could give me some information regarding this , I will be grateful to you. The components I have used in my design are: 1. Op amp AD811(It was not in the original library of the demo version , so I downloaded it from the CADENCE web site ) 2. Resistors Ik 3. Co axial cable Thanking You Vishesh Mehra
