Orcad Layout Plus Selection filter

hi Guys, i am new in orcad Layout , can anay buddy guide me how can we use selection filter on orcad as when i press on my tool no popup window or menue window comes out, i want to select all lines and refdesignator together, please any help is appriciated.

    Activating the Selection FIlter just allows the Layout active tool to be selected with keys, ctrl+H and ctrl+Y, rather than from the toolbar. It is unlikely that you will get the Ref Des and lines selected together, Ref Des will be text, lines will, more than likely, be Obstacles.

    Unless you have a very good reason for learning OrCAD Layout, which is no longer an active product, I would recommend putting your effort into learning OrCAD PCB Editor.
