how to swap the grids by using short cut keys while routing

Hi Members,

How to swap the grids by using short cut keys while routing...example for data signals (5mill trace width), for BGA areas (3.5 mils trace width) and for powers signals (15mils & 20 mils trace width) for different type of trace width and constraint requirement, while routing i want to swap the types of grids like 5,10,12 & 15 mils.....

Thanks & Regards,

Raam.

There is a nice skill program on the Cadence website that allows you to play back any script file by just click on its name from a list.  The same can be done with a "funckey" setting in your env file.

For these to work you will need to capture a script that sets the grids the way you want.  Then you can edit it for each of the various grids you want to use -- save each one off with a unique name.

Call the script by using "replay scriptname.scr" from the command line (or func key).

If you can't find the skill program then post over on the skill forum (here) or on yahoo.

In the allegro.ilinit file you can add aliases like:

F5 replay grid5.scr (sets the grid to 5,5,5,5,5 (5 mil grid, every 5th dot is 25mils)

    F6 replay grid1.scr (sets grid to 1,1,1,1,1)

    etc.

In allegro you can do the same:

on command like type:  alias <hit the F5 function key> 'replay grid5.scr'

NOTE: you have to include the ' (single-quote) symbol when typing a command string.

    Good day.

oops, in the allegro.ilinit file you'll need to include the ' symbol also (e.g. F5 'replay grid5.scr')
