How to Mirror a board/circuit

howardcowles

I need to take one design and make a mirror copy, or a symetrical copy of it about a line between the 2 boards

the top side would remain the top side etc, kind of like cutting an apple in half and separating them with the back edge almost touching

is there any way of doing this that is automated?

Being able to copy the etch also would be great also.

software version is 16.2 and or 16.3

we have a separate schematic for the second board with each board having unique ref des

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi

I think you should try to use placement replication to do this.

Create a replicate master for your first circuit and then repeat this for the second circuit.

    Best regards

    Ole

Replication would create the second circuit, but I need to flip the circuit about a center line

     Howard,

No problem there. Select replicated parts and create "tempgroup"; select complete, and choose user selected origin, and rotate to your terminal position.

    Cheers,

Maybe a better explanation would be similar to the ink splotches that form when you fold a piece of paper in half. The same design is on both sides just the mirror image. The left and right sides would line up with each other

I think you can tempgroup in move command to select the items then right click "mirror geometry"
