OrCAD Capture hangs there forever when generating the PCB Editor netlist!

I have created a middle size schematic. The DRC check has no errors. But Capture hangs there forever in the "netlisting the design" step with no error session logs. I have spent two days checking the reference designators and footprints. It works for generating other format's netlist. Just not for PCB Editor netlist.

Still cannot find the reason. Hope somebody has run into similar problems and solved it. Really need help!

    Take a look at /forums/T/16060.aspx If you are running Capture on Windows 7 or Vista.

    The problem is partially solved. I replaced all the inductors, capacitors, and resistors in the cache by recreated library parts. Because I found some of their pin numbers were missing. But I still got many warnings. Most of them are about renaming the parts. I don't know why the parts' names are so long and where to review and edit them.

    The problem is not because of the user permission of Vista. The problem is solved by replacing all the Ls, Cs, and Rs in the design by new created components. All the Ls are with one L0402 footprint, the Cs with C0402, and the Rs with R0402.

    That looks like a good netlist to me, you can't do anything about the renaming. It is combining multiple part fields into a long string and then truncating it. I was told not to worry about it. One thing did bother me though, do you have spaces in your file name or path? That will cause some pain.

    I also met this issue, and if I change the DSN file name and path, the issue maight be fixed sometimes. it hangs at "packaging the design view ... ".
