Thermal Relief - Vias

Hello,

New to PCB designer...although learning.

 I am using a 2 layer board. The bottom is a ground plane. I am unable to get the via to display the thermal relief etch that the other connector holes are as seen in this picture:

 The connector footprint has a nice cross going into the contact while the small via in the top right has nothing. Also, how do you change the default via footprint again? I can't seem to remember.

 Thanks

     Hi,

    Its better to give full contact for via's

    U can modify the thermal connection type in global dynamic parameter settings.

    SHAPE--->GLOBAL DYNAMIC PARAMETERS----->THERMAL RELIEF CONNECTION

    Regards,

    Girish Kumar

    I believe the default thermal connection type for vias is direct connect. It looks like your via isn't connecting to your copper pour at all, and it won't if that via does not have the same net assigned as the copper pour.

    You setup your vias in the constraint manager.
