Title block

Adeshere

I have a design in Capture and have 5 different variants of the BOM.

I want to be able to print out the schematic per variant and need the variant name to be displayed in the title block ( ie Part number ) on each page.

I tried using <Doc> and changing the value of 'Document number' in 'Design Template' but the title block does not update.

Yeah it won't update though all the pages only on newly created pages. But you can change them all at once manually

    Do the following steps:

    1. Highlight your filename.dsn in the Design Project window.

    2. Select Edit >> Browse >> Titleblock.  Highlight all the titleblocks listed on the right.

    3. Select Edit >> Properties.  All the TitleBlock fields will appear in the Edit Properties window.  You can change one element, and then copy paste that information into the entire column to update the title, revision number, cage code, or other editable fields.

NOTE:  The changes only apply to current pages.  If you will be adding additional pages, you need to make these changes in the Design Template Titleblock page as well.  New pages pull their TitleBlock information from the Options >> Design Template >> Titleblock (tab).

You could also following another way to edit.

    1. Highlight your filename.dsn in the Design Project window.

    2. Right Mouse Button click >> Edit Object Properties >> Title Block (tab).

Modify the values of required properties and hit apply.
