Exporting Trace geometry from PCB editor to IDF 3

IDF 3 doesn't have trace information, but it does have a section called "other outline"  Is there a way to export the trace information in the "other outline" section.  We are evaluating CircuitWorks to create solid models in Solidworks, and while the trace geometry is not critical, it would be nice to have the option.

 Thanks,

Bob

    Bob,

I don't know of any way to export the trace information and Cadence apparently has no immediate plans to upgrade to IDF 4.  However, we have been using CircuitWorks since the first of the year quite successfully.  Just make sure to keep your database up-to-date as new parts/footprints are added to your library.
