Create Netlist

Hi, I try cadence version 16.3 in Demo.

I desing a little shematic, 1 IC 3 transistor and some resistors and capacitor.

Annotation and desing check is done.  No warning no errors.

Now...  when I want to create the netlist, I receive this message " Error initializing COM property pages : pointeur non-valide. "

Can you help me with this error ?

I try 16.3 because 16.0 is not compatible with Win 7  64 bits.

Thank you for reading my message.

Thank you very mush for your help.

I have no idea exactly what is causing this but I suspect that the version you have can not create netlists.  Have you tried a virtual machine for XP and installed Cadence?  I use it on my Win 7 machine to prevent problems like you are seeing.  You will need a real version of the tool to install.

(I guessed that you spoke French by virtue of the fact that you posted from Quebec -- my 2nd most favorite place on Earth)

Try locating the capture.exe and RMB run as administrator. You will need to do this once, create the netlist. This registers all the software components. Once done you can run Capture as you normally would.
