Design Parameters

All,

I have just started a new job and I'm working on an older .brd. I'm on 16.2 and can't increase my accuracy to 3 places in the Design Parameter Editor. This inability is causing my .dlt file not to work correctly(no tolerance column). I can't set my drill to +/- 0.003 " as I normally would in the drill customization table.  Any help wouls be great.

    Goblin,

When the User Units are set to mils, 2 decimal place is the largest you can select.  If you look at the extents box you will see 2 decimal places, but since you are in mils(1/1000), your overall accuracy to 1/1000 plus the 2 decimal places or 1/100000 of and inch. If you change your User Units to inches then you can select up to 4 decimal places.  Hope that helps.

Hmmm...you can set 4 places with mils. You need to just turn on the feature.  See attached jpeg.  Sounds like more than just you need to learn the tool :)

    Redwire,

You are correct.  I have not used the progam much and forgot about that setting.  Once question, It does say "Using more then 2 decimal places of accuracy causes rounding issues when fabbing drawing."  Have you ever had such problems?

    Thanks,

    Ken
