Replacing Components in OrCad Capture CIS

All,

I have an old design that I have to bring up to spec. I have 240 resistors of the same value/size that I would like to replace at the same time with an updated part. What's the magic formula?

Allow me to modify the question. I figured out how to do a group replace so the new question is how does one automatically rotate the part to the correct orientation? For example, my part had originally been placed horizontally but the part in the library was built vertically. Consequently, when I replaced the components, they placed 90 degrees off. Is there a setting that will allow me automatically rotate?

Before placing go to Setup-->Design parameters ->Design -> Symbol -> Angle

     Set angle to rotation needed.

    Hi Ron

The key to replace cache in Capture CIS is that the resistor in your library needs to have the same rotation as the original part from your design.

You can drag a copy of the design resistor from the design cache into your library and then make the changes you want, save the library and do a replace cache.

    Best regards

    Ole
