procedure for gerber file/plot generation of specific layers - OrCAD PCB editor 16.3

CAT8024
CAT8024 over 15 years ago

I have designed a very first circuit board using OrCAD PCb editor 16.3. I wish to generate outputs of the following layers:
1. Top layer, 2. Bottom layer, 3. Silkscreen top layer, 4. Soldermask top layer, 5. Soldermask bottom layer, 6. Drill drawing (location), and 7. Drill drawing (symbol and drill size information. How to enable/disble holes from the outputs?

I tried to use artwork in the manufacture menu but there I could generate only top and bottom etch layers. It will be a great help to me  if a procedure for the generation of gerber/plot outputs and also a procedure for viewing those outputs is explained by the expert users.

I have written a tutorial that explains some of these tasks. Please download it from <http://userweb.elec.gla.ac.uk/j/jdavies/orcad/> because it is too large to attach. Page 45 explains how to create gerber files for additional layers.

    Good luck! - John Davies
