Symbol creation in design entry hdl

 Hi all,

In the allegro tutorial is specified that "By default, Design Entry HDL treats a pin as an input, output, or an inout pin depending on which side of the symbol it is attached. By default, a pin that is on the left of a symbol is an input pin."Is it not possible to change the pin type (Input ,output etc) irrespective of the side(left, right etc)?

For example:- the pins on the top and bottom are represented as inout pinsCan we change this as power pins?If changed will it cause any error? Can anyone please explain this?

 Thanks

Neha

you can specify any pin to be any type and you can locate it on any side you want. You can do this while adding pins in the Part Editor or after you've already created the symbol.
