Hi All

How to convert max file to brd file in allegro 15.2ver

....\tools\pcb\bin\l2a.exe....

I tried this path but there is no exe of this name.

am working with ALLEGRO 15.2 ver. I tried the second also> there is no option such as

PCB Editor Utilities-> Orcad layout translator in 15.2....

Can u help me by giving out anymore inputs to convert max to brd in ver 15.2

You are correct the l2a utility does not appear in my sortware tree until 15.7.

You can open a 15.7 database with 15.2 so with the correct versions of software there is a workaround

Back in the days of v14 the translator came separately from Cadence and it was called toallegro.exe. I have tried this on v15.2 and no joy, it does not work, unsure why.

v15.7 was the first version that I can find that had the translator built-in.

Does anyone have the Cadence supplied version for v15?

Alternatively, contact your cadence applications engineer who may have a copy for your specific release.
