schematic extension

Hi Group,

I'm learning Cadence and would like some advice on where to find a good tutorial. I installed Cadence at work through a floating network license, so I don't have any CDs. I tried the tutorials that came with it, but they weren't very helpful. I've been designing for many years with Mentor Graphics BoardStation, Pcad, and Pads, so I know my way around a schematic/pcb. I won't clutter this forum with beginner type questions, but I do have one......I'm trying to load a sample schematic to play with, but I can't fine one. What extension should I look for? I created some files with a .cpm. Is this the extension I need? TIA.

I'm using  SPB 16.2.

     You need either a .csa (ascii) or a .csb (binary) file. When these are created they will be in a folder under your WORKLIB called SCH_1. Contact me, and I can provide a sample.  :)  Very easy to copy around the system if you know the simple folder names where files go.

    SCH_1 = schematic pages

    PHYSICAL = allegro layout files

    PACKAGED = netlist files (export PHYSICAL)

    Good day.
