DRC Error on PCBEditor

Sachin Tiwari
Sachin Tiwari over 15 years ago

 Hello

Firstly i am using OrCAD 15.7 and designing the board using PCBEditor.

I have designed a board wherein i am getting a DRC error for the distance between two parts.

This is because i have placed these parts very close to eachother but on final board i am sure that it will not be a problem.

Now how can i rectify this. I know there has to be some setting for this. I tried changing spacing rule set but somehow i am unable to find the required option.

Regards
Sachin

Most likely these components have an associated shape on the Package Geometry/ Placement Boundry layer and they are overlapping since they are so close. This creates a DRC for "Package to Package Spacing".

You can change/remove these shapes or waive the DRCs.
