Entering relative coordinates

Hi.

I am running OrCAD PCB Designer 16.3 ( lower tier version of Allegro).

My question: How do you enter coordinates in the command window relative to the last pick?  For example,  say I want to move an object.  I click the Toggle XY mode to select relative, highlight the object, right-click the object, select move and then click the mouse on the correct location - very slow and error-prone.  What I want to do is enter in the command window the x and y coordinates: "x 100 y 0" as relative to the last pick.  However, if I enter the coordinates as "x 100 y 0", the entry is treated in absolute coordinates, not relative (contrary to my assumption about what the A/R button does) and my object ends up at (100,0), not 100 to the right of the old location..  How do I enter the x and y coordinates as relative ones? I have tried "x +100 y +0", and a few others, to no avail.

I think there's a way to do this because I seem to remember seeing this before in a forum topic somewhere (hopefully I wasn't just dreaming!) but I  I searched for the solution to this answer but found none.  I also haven't been able to find it in the Cadence Help search tool (which is the most confusing, painful and almost completely useless search too I've ever used - which is why I often come here instead of searching the manuals).

Thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers,

Allan

For the default shortcut assignments, lower case x is mapped to "pick <x> <y>", absolute, lower case ix and iy are mapped to "ipick <x>" and "ipick 0 <y>" incremental, for either x or y dimensions respectively.

Thanks Oldmouldy!  Again you've come to the rescue!

I guess my inability to find the answer in my searches is because I was using the term "relative" when the correct keyword would have been "incremental".  Darn that english language!

    Cheers,

    Allan
