Annotating

Hello all,

After major editing to a 33 page schematic I annotated to increment the reference designators. The problem is that not all of parts are annotated and I end up with 2 different parts (ex. 1000pF and .1uF having the same reference designator C481).  There are many parts with this problem.  Anybody seen this before or have any iseas how to solve it would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

I suspect they both existed from some previous issue.  If you don't care, you can reset the ref designators and start over.  If you need to keep ref designators and resolve conflicts, you need to run DRC in OrCAD and see where the conflicts are.

OrCAD will allow the existence of two parts with the same reference designator.  It's up to the user to run DRC or netlisting to find these.
If you start clean this never happens.
