Align Components in Allegro-L

I found this thread: www.cadence.com/.../16362.aspx but it seems to be closed (unable to post a reply to it directly).

I just upgraded from "OrCAD PCB Editor" to Allegro-L (which confusingly, is called "PCB Editor" after installing).  I have confirmed with my vendor that by running "PCB Editor" (not "OrCAD PCB Editor"), I am actually running Allegro-L.  When I go to "Help" --> "About", it shows that I am running: OrCAD PCB Designer 16.3 s018 (v16-3-85BB) [9/27/2010]i86.

However, I can't find the align components command.  As this is one of the only differences between OrCAD PCB Editor and Allegro-L (besides the ability to add additional modules), I am a little disappointed (and not entirely sure my upgrade worked, despite what my vendor says).  Per the thread referenced above, I select two components, right click, and look at the options.I have: Move, Copy, Unplace Component, Mirror, Spin, Assign color, Highlight, Add to group, Fix, Unfix, Property edit, Show element, and 3D view.  I do not have the option to align the components.  Am I missing something here, or was this functionality removed from Allegro-L 16.3?

If it matters, I am running this on Windows 7 64 bit.

Edit: for whatever reason, I can now reply to the old thread, but do not know how to remove this one, so will leave the question as posted...

If the about screen reports OrCAD then you are still running the OrCAD product. If you are running PCB L then the title bar will show

    "Allegro PCB Design L ..."

You should go to the Start Menu and see how Allegro is launched. RMB on the Allegro shortcut and invoke Properties. Select the Shortcut tab and look that the "Target" (you may need to scroll this field). If you see the argument "-orcad" delete this term and try launching Allegro again.

If you are still in OrCAD go to the Allegro File->Change Editor menu item and see if what product choices you have available. If you do not see a choice for "Alllegro PCB L" then you have an issue with your license server
