REG:DLIB command

When I use DLIB command to extract padstack files related to the  particular footprint ,
it will dump  so many other pad- stacks ( previously used pads in that file but currently not being used) along with the  actual padstacks used in the footprint.

How to dump only the pad-stack used currently &avoid all previously used padstack in that file ?

One more thing while dumping if the same padstack already available in that path , it will not give warning .

Please clarify me
Regards,
Girish Kumar

    Hello,

Open up the footprint symbol and purge the padstacks that are not used in the symbol.

Tools > Padstack > Modify Design Padstack.. and under the options tab you will find a Purge Button that will give you the option to purge all unused padstacks in the symbol then save the symbol.

As far as your overwrite issue without a warning, I would suggest setting env variable ADS_BOARDREVS to 2 so if a padstack is exists it will be moved to a <padstack name.pad>,1   This setting is available via the Preference Editor under the File Management category.

    Hope this helps,
