Editing a circle shape drawn on silkscreen

Cristi

Hi all,

My question is specific to creating new PCB symbols (footprints). I have just created a new circle on the silkscreen layer and I want to:

- adjust its radius (change it from 0.25mm to 0.5mm)

- move the circle so that its cnter is in the origin of the drawing

Unfortunately, I cannot do any of these. When I try to adjust the radius, by using the "Select shape or void" command I am being asked to pick a vetex, and the circle has none. Clicking on its boundary does not help

Regarding the movment of the circle, I am being confromted with the "Element has no origin, using pick." message, which means that my parametric move will be dependant on the point I pick on the circle (not what I want!)

Can anybody help me in this regard? Thanks!

Regards,

Cristian

    Cristian,

You can not edit a round shape/obstacle in PCB Editer at least in the most recent version I use.  I confirmed this with tech support many months ago.  Unfortunately you will need to redraw the shape or in some cases use z-copy to increase or decrease the diameter.  Regarding moving the circle, select the move icon...in the options box select body center.  Select the circle and move it with you x y command.
