How to swap the pins in Orcad PCB editor ?

Hi All,

I use  Orcad PCB editor 16.3 for both Schematic and PCB layout. I have never done back annotation from board to schematic.

So, I wanted to learn that. So, I took one layout and was trying to swap the pins of an IC. I am using this command.... Place > Swap > Pins.  Correct me if I am wrong..

I am getting this statement in command window.

"Pin is not swappable because the swap code is zero ... pick again."

I am wondering, what is that swap code? Can you please explain how to set that? and what are the required setup to swap the pins ?

Thanks

Hi You Will need to define pingroups inside your orcad capture library Open the library partz View package, edit properties Now set the pin group equal for pins that Can be swapped (must have same pin type) Save and Update design, netlist and import logic Now you should be able to do pin swap Br Ole
