Installation Error - Entry point not found

Hi,

I guess similar topic must have been discussed in the past. Not sure whether its the right thread to post again.

Anyways, Here's my problem:

Installed Allegro 16.2

It gives an error while trying to open Design Entry

Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?SetCpmHandle@CDSSmlLibReader@@QZEXPAX@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cmpropertyserver.dll


Any help appreciated

  • Check path setting in your system to see this is correctly pointing to SPB 16.2 installation.

    Can you be a little more specific please.

    Do you mean at the Environment variable setting?

    System variable CDSROOT is being set to the root directory C:\Cadence\SPB_16.2

  • Yes. I mean PATH variable setting under enviorment variables.  Simplest way to check this could be to open a dos windows and type PATH in that.

  • The variable PATH has a value mentioned in the system variable

    If I change the variable value to C:\cadence\SPB_16.2, the Project Manager itself doesnt open. dll missing error. 

  • Can you try bringing %CDSROOT% related string in front of path variable: i.e.

    %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%CDSROOT%\tools\bin;%CDSROOT%\tools\libutil\bin;%CDSROOT%\tools\fet\bin;%CDSROOT%\tools\pcb\bin;%CDSROOT%\tools\specctra\bin;%CDSROOT%\OpenAccess\bin\win32\opt;%CDSROOT%\tools\Capture;%CDSROOT%\tools\PSpice;%CDSROOT%\tools\PSpice\Library;C:\Program Files\ActivIdentity\ActivClient\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\DLLShared\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\10.0\DLLShared\;%QUARTUS_ROOTDIR%\bin;%QUARTUS_ROOTDIR%\eda\sim_lib\excalibur\swift\lib\pcnt.lib;%QESS_ROOTDIR%\bin;
    Also I assume you are running 16.2 version of Project Manager. Try running Allegro or some other product also to confirm if this issue is with specific tool or generic. If you have installed selected set of product, try after installing all products.
