Modifying schematic from old design

Hi. I am about to make some changes to a schematic that I was given and I am assuming it is the one that was imported into Allegro.

It is in Capture. What bothers me is that in the scematic tree, there is no files in the OUTPUT folder. Shouldn't there be a netlist in the output folder if this was used to import logic to Allegro?

How can I make SURE that this shematic is truely the same as the brd file I got?

It sounds like they only sent the filename.dsn file. You can ask them to send you the filename.opj plus the allegro directory which contains the three netlist files (pstxnet.dat, pstxprt.dat and pstchip.dat) or recreate them. One way to confirm they are in sync is to import the logic into the PCB and see if there are any changes.....

No.  But you can always synchronize the schematic with Allegro and check the ECO.TXT file.
