Generate a NetClass report in CM

Hi All,

I was wondering if there was a way to generate a report with all the nets in a design and their associated physical and spacing netclasses. I want to make sure that all of the nets in my design are in a netclass.

Thanks in advance.

Below is the report definition file that I build in Tools>Report:

    # This is an extract command file

    # generated by the Extract UI.

    #

    NET

    NET_NAME

    NET_PHYSICAL_CONSTRAINT_SET

    NET_SPACING_CONSTRAINT_SET

    END

Below is an example of the resulting output:

    P:\training>cat net_phy_spa.txt

    Allegro Report

    P:/training/return_path6_164.brd

    Tue Aug 02 15:06:00 2011

    NET_NAME,NET_PHYSICAL_CONSTRAINT_SET,NET_SPACING_CONSTRAINT_SET

    SN4,PCS1,SCS1

    DP5,,

    SN2,,

    SN1,,

    SN3,,

    DP6_N,PCS1,SCS1

    DP5_N,,

    DP6,PCS1,SCS1

    DP4_N,,

The empty fields show that those reference the ‘DEFAULT’ constraint sets

Thanks for the info! I tried this, and I got the table, but none of the NET_PHYSICAL_CONSTRAINT_SET and NET_SPACING_CONSTRAINT_SET had any of my netclass names. If I look in constraint manager, I see that the Nets are assigned to Netclasses, so I don't know what's going on. Any ideas?

If ALL nets are assigned to particular NCls you will NOT see any "Net" objects in "Type" column in CM.

All nets in design will be listed under one of "NCls" . And you can see number of nets in each NetClass like POWER(10) in "Objects" column

A NetClass (NCls in Constraint Manager) is a group.

Similar capability exists for busses, diffpairs, etc. In the ExtractUI builder these entries are located under the Misc tab

So you want an extracta view that looks something like this:

    NET
    NET_NAME_SORT
    NETCLASS_GRP_NAME
    NET_NAME
    EN
