Allegro footprint SO8NLK was not found in the search path

Hello All,

This is my first time in this community and newer for orcad 16.3.

I would like someone to help me how to fix error message "Allegro footprint SO8NLK was not found in the search path".

I was open circuit diagram in Orcad Capture CIS 16.3 and click at that component for check footprint and it has error message.

Thanks you in advance.

Kiae.

Make sure that footprint assign to part exists in your PSM PATH. PSM path can be configured using "Environment Editor" under PCB Editor Utilities.  Select Paths>Library in tree view to locate psmpath.

Could be a number of things:

    - SO8NLK could be a "zero" (S08) or an "O" (SO8); or even name spelled incorrectly

    - Padstack in the footprint might not be found. The error message will still say it's the footprint

    - The .dra file is in the directory, but not the .psm file (needs to be the .psm file!)
