Design Entry HDL 16.3 - Is there a quick way to change Ref Des that have already been packaged?

In Design Entry HDL 16.3, I'd like to use the REF_DES_PATTERN feature in a schematic.  The schematic has been packaged and all parts have been placed and routed in PCB Editor.  Now there is a desire to renumber the reference designators and I know how to assign the REF_DES_PATTERN but this feature will not work on parts that have already been packaged.  Is there a quick way to get the Ref Designators to the original $LOCATION = ? like when they are first placed in the schematic?  And then can I proceed with the REF_DES_PATTERN feature?

Thank you.

Please, please, please do not post if you are not sure how to do something or you just believe something may work.  If you don't remember how to do something DO NOT POST!  You yield this great resource and sharing tool as a weak and senseless.  Is your goal to rack up points?
