Does anyone know how to get MPS service.  The HDL commands Tools=>Global Update=>Global Component Change and Tools=>Global Update=>Global Property Change are not working.  I get the following messages when trying to use the commands.

_GlobalModify
WARNING(SPCOCN-1421): Unable to invoke command: _globalmodify.
MPS service not available.
Tool=globalChangeServer Service=globalChangeServer Version=.*. SessionName=suzanne.peterson_template_ldcm_udl_1313678617559 SessionHost=GI3NJ6ZH1

    It gets started by default when Allegro Design Entry HDL (ADEHDL) is invoked - in the past problem was *CDSROOT* values in PATH environment variable - move *CDSROOT* values to the left then relaunch both Project Manager/ADEHDL

    Khurana,

    I am a new user.  What do I open to "move *CDSROOT* values to the left"??  Thanks.

    Do you know how to access PATH environment variable on your windows box?  If yes, copy & paste the values in a text editor -now do you see PATH values which have CDSROOT in them?  Rerrange PATH values such that CDSROOT PATH values are at the begining as supposed to the end or close to end.

    Thanks Khurana!

    The solution was to remove some UNIX extensions (.sh;.ksh;.csh...) from the PATHEXT environmental variable.
