Global change on $PN visible --- None (off) to Value (on) --- in HDL 16.5

Is it possible to do a global change on the visibility of $PN (from None to Value) on all of the pins on a large schematic symbol with several pins rather than changing the visibilitiy of each individually?  I would like to turn on all of the $PN attributes so I can globally move them.

Thank you.

I’d need to double-check on whether or not Global Change can do this.

However, you can do the following:

    1. Edit a file (e.g. change_pn.txt) in the project area.
    2. Add these lines:
      set nextgroup A
      find $PN
      display value ‘A’
      write
    3. Launch DEHDL
    4. In the DEHDL console window, type “runscript change_pn.txt)

This will make all the $PN properties visible on all pages of the root design.

    Thanks Jerry.  That is helpful.

We also were able to group the pins then did Group>Property Display>Value and they all toggled on.

To make All pin numbers visible on big or any component just do menu Component > Section > Single section and click on component. This is a toggle command so click again to hide.
