How to insert True Type text into PCB design (silk screen)?

I need to place company name into silk screen layers using non-latin characters. Since there is no support of natianal characters in PCB Editor I decided to place some true text using DXF import. But it also does not work. It seems the DXF import is very simple and eats only plain lines and arcs. Any other primitives are ignored silently. It it possible to import text in some of vector formats? Or, probably, I can convert true type to some format that would split characters into vector primitives to be imported into boart via DXF. Can I? And one more silly question. Why is text support in Cadence allegro platform so poor? I have seen true type functionality in PCAD 2001, i.e. 10 (TEN) years ago

Text in a DXF is "just text", "just text" on import gets the only text font in PCB Editor. Try using the excellent "logomaker" to get what you need, go to the PCB Skill forum and run a search for "logomaker"
