Using xy coordinates when placing pins

Does anyone know how to place pins using xy coordinates?  We have a large part that is not a typical pattern, but we do have the xy coordinates of each pin.

I assume you are building the part.  Say you are working in mils and want to place the first pin at -100, 100.

    Do: Add pin

Then in the command line type: x -100 100   then hit enter.

You can continue placing pins like this or you may find that copying them and moving them in increments works more quickly.  So say you want to copy the next pin 100 mils to the right of where you placed the first pin.  Do: Copy, click on the pin, then type ix 100, hit enter.

     Hope this helps.

This is good, but we have about 300 pins.

I know you can import a placement file in the layout which will call out the xy coordinates.  I was wondering if there was something similar when creating a part.

    Thank you,

    Dawn
