SMD footprints for wave soldering

Carvey

Hello

We want to mount SMD components on the bottom side of board that would be wave soldered.

Will the same SMD footprints used on the top side work on the bottom?

Thanks

You've to look at IPC-2222 standard and related documents in order to buil a reliable footprint for each SMD which you need to wave-soldering. Perhaps it seems good using the same footprint of reflow but it's not so good speaking of big numbers of components to be mounted.
