Autoplacing Components

I'm using OrCad PCB Editor 16.3 for a new PCB design. I have used it before as well, but every time I've designed something in the past it has been very small, so I placed components manually. Now I got a big project and would like to start using Autoplace. I couldn't find some tutorial online showing how to use autoplace. I created my Top and Bottom grids with 1mm spacing, here is where I get stuck, I've tried using quickplace to place all the parts and then use autoplace so they are paced inside the board outline automatically, I don't know if they have to be selected or what before autoplacing, but it doesn't work. I have no idea where to go from here or if I'm missing something. I used the wizzard to create my board templace which is 10" x 4". Any help will be appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem when attempt to AutoPlace my components. It is fascinating how that information remain unanswered for so long. Perhaps it is one of those hidden bug that nobody dare to address. Please, we need some expert advise here. :)
