Design Reuse - Attempt to create logical reuse symbol but no version of part found in top level - HDL 16.5

Since I cannot create a service request (the system is down), I'm asking for your help.

I'm attempting the do design reuse in Design Entry HDL.  I have completed the top level schematic and the base (reuse) schematic.  I have completed the layout and have created the reuse module.  Following the steps in the HDL Reuse Tutorial, I attempted to create the logical reuse symbol but our work came to a screeching halt at the next step where I attempt to place the logical reuse symbol in the top level schematic.  I got a warning message.  "There is no version 1 of part cell in cell lib."

Does anyone know if there are any special "tricks" or "gotchas" that are NOT outlined in the documentation?

Are folks using design reuse?  Is it as good as it's touted to be?!?!?!  Please let me know if you have witnessed limitations.  We may go back to a flat schematic.

Thanks much for your help.

I figured out my problem and got the tool to create my reuse symbol.

But I'm still interested in your thoughts about design reuse.  Does it work well for you?  Do you know of any limitations?

    Thanks!
