Creating Bom variants on a schematic page with multiple instances

Hi

I use a schematic page which has multiple instances in Orcad.

Some of the componets i need different values depending on configuration, but orcad responds "The component you are trying to link is connected to an instance with multiple occurences. Linking of components with multiple occurrenses can only be done from the core design".

Is it only so? Can't orcad handle variants on multiple instances?
