 hi all,

in allegro, i want to add property to components for Top and Bottom layer arrangement.

example, IC101 should be place on top layer only, and it will flag an error if place in Bottom Layer and vice versa.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

     hi All,

thanks for all your ideas, now im thinking which is the best way to do it.

@bill, we already have the keepout running for the Height limit designation. but the customer has instructions (more than 40k components) that certain IC's, caps, Connectors' etc to be on Top or bottom only.

I will give it a try, the ALT symbols and Room Property.

    Thanks.
