How to add a 3D module into a library, and how to export pcb to pro/Engineer ?

I have made some 3D module, such as resistance, capacitor, and I want to add these 3D modules (*.step) into my library, but I don't know how to do it . Anybody knows?

Also,I have export a pcb to a .emn file, but in pro/Engineer it can not be shown exactly. There is a empty pcb only, not any resistance
at all . Who can help me ?

Thanks.

1: First question.  I am not sure why did you want to add 3D module with lib? generlly we are create a placebound area define the component height value with footprint is simple like 3D model.    thus we can view/3d to see our board in 3D viewer. of course.this is not accurate.

2: we can export/idf file .emn .emp two files to pro/enginner. they can import in proE.  this is necessary to define a height value in footprint placebound property to show component like 3D.

I don't believe you can import/embed STEP models into an Allegro database (I'm still using 16.3, but I didn't see it in the 16.5 feature highlights). But using the shapes on the place_bound_top layer, you can define simple extruded blocks representing generic component envelopes. These shapes will also appear in Allegro's 3D viewer.

As qaf said you need both an EMN and an EMP file to get the full board+component information into Creo. With a hint map file in Creo, you can have an Allegro footprint replaced with a Creo 3D model. Be careful to align symbol/model origin and orientation (rotation) when doing this. Alternatively, with the appropriate add-ons for Creo, you can use the IDX import/export instead of IDF.
